Our Special Visitor from Linton Army Camp

St Mary's School were fortunate to have Nicole, a driver and soldier in the New Zealand Armed Forces, come to visit on Friday 24 April. Nicole talked to us about some of her experiences in the Armed Forces and of course about ANZAC Day. She had come all the way from Linton to our school especially.

Special Family Connections to ANZAC and Gallipoli

As part of our study about ANZAC and Gallipoli, Lachlan brought in photos, a 100 year old watch and war medals that had belonged to his family.  He shared  special information and stories about them.  We are grateful to his Grandmother Mary who allowed him to bring them in to share with the class.
