St Mary's School Fields of Remembrance

St. Mary's School held a Fields of Remembrance Liturgy on Tuesday 28 April.  Our Field of Remembrance contained thirty crosses that represented some of the soldiers from our local region who died in World War 1. A backdrop containing poppies from the students at St. Mary's was the backdrop for the ceremony.

Caden Mouat-Harvey, our Head Boy, was responsible for the readings. Students representing years 4-8 read a Prayer of the Faithful.

Sergeant Nick Hawke addressed the school and visitors about the significance of ANZAC.  He also answered questions about his role in the Air Force.

Marcello Ziglioli played the Last Post on his trumpet.  Two junior students lay wreaths by our Fields of Remembrance sign and crosses at school.
